I added some flowers to the dining table (specifically roses) because red roses are an expression of love and a symbol of passion and love. If you significant other is not a fan of roses, then add some of their favorite flowers as not only a gift but also as a centerpiece for the table.

2. Wine bottle w/glasses

A lot of couples like to drink wine for with dinner especially on special occasions. If you or your  significant other doesn’t drink alcohol, there are plenty of virgin drink recipes out there so that you can have a special drink.

3. Romantic artwork

I added some romantic pieces of artwork onto the wall. The Eiffel Tower is considered one of the most romantic places in the world. Even if you’re not able to go to Paris for Valentine’s Day, you can at least have a picture of it. In order to make it more personal,  you can add your own couple pictures and destinations that you as a couple have traveled to together.

4. Red Velvet dining chairs

These Mad Hatter chairs look so soft and comfortable! I think adding an element that engages the sense of touch is great for design.

5. Candles

I don’t know what it is about candles but it just adds romantic ambience to the space so thats why I added candles to the tabletop. Make sure that they are unscented candles: you wouldn’t want the smell of the candles to interfere with the smell of the delicious food that you’re going to be eating.

P.S. This post is NOT sponsored by Olioboard.
